We are living in critical times that God has described in detail in His Word The Holy Bible. When it all boils down, it could be said that everyone in the world either believes God’s Word or they believe the lie. Today’s message will help us understand this as we examine a lesson that we have titled:
“The Power Of The Truth Over The Lie”
Old Testament Scripture Reading: Psalms 2:1 – 12 KJV
Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
Psa 2:6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
Psa 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Psa 2:8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Psa 2:9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Psa 2:10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Psa 2:11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
New Testament Scripture Reading: Revelation 19:1 – 5 KJV
Rev 19:1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
Rev 19:2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
Rev 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
Rev 19:4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
1) The story of mankind is summarized by the Psalmist who has described the reactions of the people of the world who have not believed the written Word of God (The Holy Bible) but rather are enraged because they have believed the devil, who perpetrated a lie long ago which they all have been tainted by against the council of the Most High God and His Only Begotten Son, JESUS CHRIST!
2) We are witnessing the alignment of the world with the pattern that God has prescribed in Psalms 2, where not only the Gentiles (other nations that are not the covenant people) and Israel who also refused to trust in Jesus Christ, (Who is God’s solution for the salvation of ALL people) as we see Israel in the midst of all the global confusion at the center of all the controversy in the world.
3) The Book of Revelation indicates exactly how everything is going to turn out and I am happy that the Kingdom Of God shall emerge from out of all the destruction and the believers in Jesus Christ from all seasons of time shall have the victory that has been written in explicit detail in God’s Word which is the Truth which has power over “the lie” !
