Christmas The Promises Of God’s Salvation Made Flesh

print
As we conclude this year, let us consider the great love that God has displayed toward us by sending His Own Son, Jesus The Messiah, to deliver all who believe in Him from their sins into His perfect righteousness, which He has shared through the Prophets from Moses to Revelation, in our final  message that I have titled “Christmas The Promises Of God’s Salvation Made Flesh”

Old Testament Scripture Reading Isaiah 42:1 – 6 (KJV)

Isa 42:1  Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Isa 42:2  He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.

Isa 42:3  A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

Isa 42:4  He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

Isa 42:5  Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:

Isa 42:6  I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;

New Testament Scripture Reading Acts 3:13 – 15 (KJV)

Act 3:13  The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

Act 3:14  But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

Act 3:15  And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) People in the world have differing ways of thinking concerning the “True Meaning” of Christmas, than the real reason for the season as it is taught in the Bible, God’s Holy Word!

2) All the OT Prophets, including Isaiah, wrote through prophecy about Jesus, The Christ, and His coming to be the servant Who alone could properly represent both God and Humanity, and through the sacrifice of Himself, provide perfect reconciliation of both to all who trust in God’s promises about Jesus Christ, which are in God’s Word, The Holy Bible.

3) Peter and the entire Church ever since, have been called and sent to preach, to all people the Gospel of this perfect gift, which God has sent on the very first Christmas, to be received as His Perfect Gift to everyone who believe in JESUS CHRIST, His Only-Begotten Son: How about you today: Where do you stand?
