“Shepherding In The Midst of Suffering”
1Pe 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
1Pe 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.
1Pe 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
1Pe 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1Pe 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Pe 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
1Pe 5:11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
The Scriptures are filled with a multitude of examples intended to instruct believers in the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, which will be born out of the tremendous disaster of the aftermath of the sin of Adam, which is totally responsible for the way the world is now and is into an ever increasingly worse condition that is truly malignant and therefore, must reap total destruction by Almighty God.
It is clear that the motivation of God during creation was to demonstrate His love for mankind. Adam and Eve were supreme benefactors and the pinnacle of everything else He had made. This is realized by the fact that God gave them “dominion” over it all! However, when the devil crept in and waged war against God and man through lies and deceit, the decline of the aspirations for the Kingdom dwindled and changed the course of mankind against God’s love. None of this was a “surprise” to God and the Bible teaches everyone who God calls the plan that was conceived in eternity for the restoration of the Kingdom and the perfect rule God’s only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, Who demonstrated “The Stewardship of True Love and Biblical Wealth”
1) Developing the mindset of Biblical Stewardship Contrary to the misrepresentations of the world.
2) Acknowledging the fleshly resistance of the fallen world while escalating the development of true Godly purpose, character, and goals as the main intention of your life.
3) Walking in and teaching others that true love (i.e. Biblical love) has Jesus Christ as the Highest example and the focal point not only of human history, but also as the most perfect model of humility, which exemplifies God’s very best for all mankind, and establishes what it truly means to men like Dr. Willis Wilson, Dr. Arthur Hamilton, and Pastor Spencer Bartlett Jr. who thrive on following the Apostle Peter’s admonition to continue “Shepherding In The Midst of Suffering”
