When you think of “Christmas” what comes to your mind? There are many traditional things which have become predominate in the minds of many in our time. But what is the emphasis of God’s Word about what Christmas “Really” is? Just how should this most important holiday be thought of based on the Truth? Listen today to this message on this event which Pastor Landis Fisher taught last week that it is the most important event that has taken place in the history of the creation thus far, in another lesson which he has titled: “Christmas: Majesty Divinity For Humanity”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Proverbs 30:4 – 5 (KJV)

Pro 30:4  Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?

Pro 30:5  Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

New Testament Scripture Reading: 1Timothy 3:14 – 16 (KJV)

1Ti 3:14  These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

1Ti 3:15  But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

1Ti 3:16  And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) The realities about the joining of God with humanity coming into the world are many in the Older Testament such as Genesis 3:15, Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, Psalms 22, etc. these and many others tell us about the majestic promises made by God the Father to redeem mankind through Messiah, Who is given many attributes that are somewhat veiled within the sacred writings of the Law, the Psalms, and Prophets are indicators of God’s intention to become like man, whom He had created in order to personally perform everything required for the redemption of humanity from the contamination of the sin that has permeated human beings every since the fall of Adam.

2) Here even in the Proverbs profound questions are raised that can be performed only by God and His Son Jesus, that became reality on that very first Christmas in human flesh, where the reality of God’s Son’s Name was indicated and pondered by the Jews for many centuries, and was manifested on that first Christmas.

3) Because of the first advent of Jesus Christ we can now behold the reality of what true godliness really is and even more completely understand that God’s Majesty through the birth of His Son Jesus Christ is the direct reality of what Christmas is really about: the perfect salvation of all who believe in Him!
