New Testament Scripture Reading: James 5:13 – 16 (NASB)
Jas 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.
Jas 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
Jas 5:15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.
Jas 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

Transforming Power Statements:
1) The one and only True God, the Father of our LORD Jesus, the Christ, has specified that man ‘Ought’ to always pray and not faint” (Luke 18:1) which indicates that God is always listening and that we are always needing Him to be intertwined within all our affairs, day in and day out.
2) God has granted us a privilege to be able to endure whatever things that this world can dish out to us, as long as we remain connected to the memories of “His Promises” which can never fail, and have been stated for our power source when times of difficulty rise up against us as they always have, even for the ones who have been given the immutable gift of “His righteousness”.
3) Regardless of the works of the world, the flesh and the devil, God has promised perseverance and victory to His people whom He has admonished to be realistic in their evaluation of themselves and others and to always keep His words in our thoughts, which He has promised that they shall never come back to Him void, but will accomplish the very things that He desires.
