Old Testament Scripture Reading: Isaiah 9:6 – 7 (KJV)

Isa 9:6  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Luke 2:28 – 34 (NASB)

Luk 2:29 “Now Lord, You are releasing Your bond-servant to depart in peace, According to Your word;

Transforming Power Statements:

1) As indicated from God via Isaiah the Prophet, the predictions of the Messiah Who was promised to come from God, (Who also was to be God the Son)was a well known promise that was the product and culmination of God’s deep-seated love for mankind, which He had delivered via His people, Israel as solid proof that whatever He promised He was well able to perform.

2) When this and many other prophecies from the Old Testament concerning Jesus, God’s Messiah, had been accomplished, each one made it more clear that God was not only promising His love for mankind, but was also coming into the human condition to perform just what He had promised and showing off His purpose to love man even though mankind would not completely return Love back to Him.

3) The near fulfillment of the prophecy to Simeon, the servant of God, reveals to us that God is willing to take us up on our requests as we are led by His Spirit and even more as we become increasingly more willing and empowered to export the Love of God out to the masses; taking time to give away the love God has given to us!
