Old Testament Scripture Reading: Proverbs 4:1 – 7 (KJV)

Pro 4:1  Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.

Pro 4:2  For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

Pro 4:3  For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.

Pro 4:4  He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Pro 4:5  Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

Pro 4:6  Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

Pro 4:7  Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Romans 11:25 – 29 (NASB)

Rom 11:25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery–so that you will not be wise in your own estimation–that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;

Rom 11:26 and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, “THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.”

Rom 11:27 “THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS.”

Rom 11:28 From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God’s choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers;

Rom 11:29 for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) It behooves each one of us who are members of the body of Christ, not to sleep on the realities of what Thus saith the LORD (His WORD) nor be caught up in the stupor of the apostate church which in the predominate status of much of the “visible church” today(as it was of the splintered factions of Judaism upon the First arrival / advent of Jesus the Christ) so that we can be the salt & light of the world.

2) Wisdom and understanding are parallel gifts from God to ANYONE who seeks them whole-heartedly and are promised in both the Old & New Testaments; God has always been a “Rewarder of the ones who diligently seek Him” as Solomon wrote in the Proverbs and the writer of the epistle of James in the New Testament.

3) Just as each and every believer is called and gifted by God, it must be understood that God is the one who made the decision, and therefore He won’t take it back; therefore, pray on how you can maximize the usage and applications of what God has given you!
