Old Testament Scripture Reading: Proverbs 6:16 – 19 ( KJV)
Pro 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
Pro 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
New Testament Scripture Reading: 1 John 3:11 – 16 (KJV)
1Jn 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
1Jn 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
1Jn 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1Jn 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
1Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Transforming Power Statements:
1) Solomon prophesied the things that God hates and therefore, gives us insight as to what kind of things are most evil in the sight of an Infinitely Holy God so that we can learn to avoid such things in our lives and be on the path to approaching more righteousness within the framework of our everyday lives knowing that the extremes of Love & Hate are a necessary facet of life in this world.
2) The lives of Cain and Abel set the tone of the difference between people who love the things God loves and hate the things that God hates, and also show us how God deals with the unbelieving world who also tend to walk in hate instead of love without even knowing it.
3) John ( the disciple whom Jesus loved {Jn 21:7 & 20}) teaches us to also be prepared to be hated by the unbelieving world if we choose to side with God’s love hate system, which is the ultimate example of the thin line between Love & Hate as illustrated by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ His Only-begotten Son, Who gave His life to ransom us from the power of the grave because God loves us and also provides justice for us through the death of Jesus Christ; with PROOF of VICTORY by the resurrection from the dead! (Hallelujah!)
