Transforming Power Statements:
1) The Old Testament prophecies of the coming of Messiah revealed that the one whom God had promised was coming to deal with the problem of sin and therefore, separation from God in order to completely restore believing mankind back to God, which was celebrated and anticipated by the Jews who were the legitimate people to whom these promises were made, who also rejected Jesus as a nation when He came the first time.
2) It was a routine part of the celebration of the Jews to live in anticipation of the coming Messiah, yet when He actually did arrive, He was met with unbelief, which was also prophesied in the Old Testament with flawless accuracy.
3) Palm Sunday is the commemoration of this special time which offers proof of the accuracy of the Old Testament and therefore, is the best witness that everything else stated in God’s Word should also be trusted by believers in that the final Advent of Jesus the Messiah is coming soon!
