Fulfilling My Piece in the Gospel Mission

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 9:23 – 26 (KJV) |
|
Jer 9:23 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
Jer 9:24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
Jer 9:25 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will punish all them which are circumcised with the uncircumcised;
Jer 9:26 Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the children of Ammon, and Moab, and all that are in the utmost corners, that dwell in the wilderness: for all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.

Rom 15:24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
Rom 15:25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
Rom 15:26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
Rom 15:27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

Transforming Power Statements:
1) When Paul knew that his ministry to the Gentiles was written in prophecy (Isaiah 52:15) he began to understand that his work of spreading the Gospel throughout the lands of the Gentiles, was of the utmost of fulfilling his part in the Gospel mission; and that the very reason he had been born was unfolding right before his eyes; and all to the glory of God!
2) Being led by the Holy Spirit, Paul also carried a special “poor saint” offering from the Gentiles back to Jerusalem to help the original recipients’ of the Gospel, who were now suffering because of their faith in Jesus Christ, with a carnal blessing and the good news of the spread of the Gospel into many Gentile nations.
3) Let us ask ourselves the question: What can we do to be certain that we are fulfilling our pieces in the puzzle of the Gospel Mission; knowing that God has saved us for such a time as this!
