Delivering Faith Through Preaching

Humanity is the pinnacle of God’s creation and He thought that it was so important, the He decided to become one Himself so that He could have personal involvement in it and to make redemption possible by His Son’s shed blood on the cross, and then to dispense believers in Him to get the good news out to all the rest! Today, our Pastor Teacher, Landis Fisher , has prepared a message in our ongoing series through the book of Romans from the tenth chapter that he has titled: “Delivering Faith Through Preaching”

Old Testament Scripture Reading: Nahum 1:11 – 15  (KJV)

Nah 1:11  There is one come out of thee, that imagineth evil against the LORD, a wicked counsellor.
Nah 1:12  Thus saith the LORD; Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet thus shall they be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
Nah 1:13  For now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
Nah 1:14  And the LORD hath given a commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown: out of the house of thy gods will I cut off the graven image and the molten image: I will make thy grave; for thou art vile.
Nah 1:15  Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.

New Testament Scripture Reading: Romans 10:11 – 17  (KJV)

Rom 10:11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Rom 10:12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Transforming Power Statements:

1) God has chosen to place the highest importance on the “Human Factor” by becoming a man to be     able to redeem (or to buy back) fallen mankind out of the sin of Adam, thus declaring salvation for all who believe in Christ Jesus, and rely only on His finished work on the cross as that means of salvation, which is acceptable to God.

2) The Church (Called out ones; ecclessia) has been privileged and commanded to go into all the world and preach this Gospel of the Kingdom to every person so that whosoever believes the message shall be able to receive faith and be saved.

3) The works and strongholds of the wicked counsellor can only be permanently destroyed by the preaching of the Gospel, that God has made the way to a right relationship with Him possible through His Son, Jesus for all people who hear and believe in Him.
